FAIR USE GUIDELINES

For non-commercial use (not to be sold), you may quote up to 500 words (in a single excerpt or in total among multiple excerpts) from a Kregel book, provided that the quotations from Kregel titles do not comprise more than 10% of the completed work. This does not include permission for use of images, charts, diagrams, or complete pieces such as poems, sermons, prayers, chapters, etc. The credit line below must appear on or before the first page of the excerpt.

For non-commercial teaching purposes (classroom use, Bible studies), you may quote or copy up to 5 pages of a Kregel title for up to 25 participants, provided that the material is not sold to participants and is not made available for distribution (e.g. posted online or provided to a third party distributor) beyond the 25 participants. The credit line below must appear on or before the first page of the excerpt.

For commercial use (to be sold), you may quote up to 300 words (in a single excerpt or in total among multiple excerpts), so long as the quotations from Kregel titles do not comprise more than 5% of your completed work and you do not use the quotation as a stand-alone, such as in artwork or an entry in a collection of stories or devotional book). This does not include permission for use of images, charts, diagrams, or complete pieces such as poems, sermons, prayers, chapters, etc. Commercial use of this material, including print and broadcast use, requires a separate permission for each use. The credit line below must appear on the copyright page.

The following credit line must accompany all excerpts: Taken from [Name of Book] © Copyright [insert date] by [Author]. Published by Kregel Publications, Grand Rapids, MI. Used by permission of the publisher. All rights reserved.

PERMISSIONS

For permissions requests concerning excerpts not covered by these fair use guidelines, please contact Kregel at kregelbooks@kregel.com or write to Rights & Permissions, Kregel Publications, 2450 Oak Industrial Dr NE, Grand Rapids MI 49505. All requests must be in writing. We are not able to grant rights or permission over the phone or return phone calls regarding rights and permissions. Please note that commercial use of this material, including print and broadcast use, requires a separate permission for each use. Please allow two weeks for processing requests.

Permissions requests must include the following information:

• Your Name, Organization Name, Mailing Address, City, State, Postal Code, Country, Phone Number, Complete Email Address
• Title, Author, and Copyright Date of Kregel Publications book from which you would like to excerpt
• Page numbers from the above-named book that contain the desired excerpt
• Description of the publication in which you would like to include the excerpt (also indicate print, online, and/or broadcast)
• Total page count of your publication
• Number of copies that you intend to produce
• Price of the publication for consumers, if any
