Joan Campbell
The daughter of Dutch immigrants, Joan grew up in South Africa and the themes of discrimination and forgiveness are woven through her writing. She draws inspiration from her country's vibrant mix of cultures, language, music and folklore.
Joan is passionate about African conservation issues, the theme of some of her short stories. Another passion is her involvement as a writing trainer and mentor with MAI, a ministry which equips Christian writers across the globe to write books that speak to people through their own language and culture.
According to Joan, "The great thing about being a writer is that you're never alone...there are always voices in your head!" Currently these voices are the characters of the final book of her fantasy trilogy, The Poison Tree Path Chronicles. Joan lives in Johannesburg, South Africa with her husband and two daughters.
