Hilary Creed was born in Surrey and Educated in Kent. She trained as a teacher at Ripon College of Education in Yorkshire, and has taught in the London Boroughs of Bromley and Bexley. Throughout her teaching career, Hilary has enjoyed working with young people, helping to run a weekly club, fun days and residential holidays for them. This resulted in her writing a number of resource books for Crusaders (now Urban Saints), followed by four books of stories for school assemblies with worksheets and material for RE lessons, published by Kevin Mayhew.
Hilary enjoys spending time with friends and ex-colleagues. She has traced her family history back to the turn of the seventeenth century in Devon, and spent several years as a carer. She is an active member of her church.
Hilary lives in Kent within easy reach of the countryside and coastline of Sussex, the setting for her crime novel An Insubstantial Death which came out in February 2017.
