Husband Auditions named 2022 Christy Award Finalist

GRAND RAPIDS, MI-- Husband Auditions by Angela Ruth Strong has been named a finalist in the Contemporary Romance category for the 2022 Christy Awards.
Midwest Book Review calls Strong's debut "a masterpiece of comic timing . . . [and] a wholesome, engagingly entertaining, witty, deftly crafted, and truly memorable read from cover to cover." Bethany Turner says, "Simultaneously an homage to and a lampoon of old-fashioned pursuits of matrimony, inspirational romance fans will gobble up this thoroughly modern tale."
Strong's book features protagonist Meri Newberg, who, in a world full of happily-ever-after love, feels like the last young woman on the planet to be single--at least in her Christian friend group. So, when she's handed a strange present at the latest wedding (a 1950s magazine article of "ways to get a husband"), she decides there's nothing to lose by trying out its advice. After all, she cant get any more single, can she?
The winners in each category will be announced on November 17 at the Christy Award Gala held at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. The complete list of finalists can be found here.
